Very proud of our senior fours team of Maria Sakac, Ruth Fletcher, Pam Conley and skip Chris Cole who made it to the final against Bev Murray’s Grafton team at Red Rock.  Unfortunately the final was abandoned after heavy rain with only six ends to go. It was decided by District to continue the game at Maclean the following Thursday (20th). Congratulations to Grafton who crossed the finish line with a three shot win over our girls and congratulations to Chris and team for a wonderful effort. Fraught with misfortune for Yamba this final it seemed – with Maria injuring her bowling hand and not making the Maclean leg of the game but was ably subbed by Ros Moore. Well done to all.

District Triples will be underway with first games played on Tuesday (February 25).

We need more bowlers for the challenge against Park Beach for the “Boomerang Trophy” on Sunday March 1 – so get your names in for a fun day and a chance to play against our neighbours from Park Beach Bowling Club on their home turf.
