At our monthly meeting held on Saturday August 3 it was agreed by the members that we have an outing to the Remember When Cottage Museum at Waterview Heights.
This will take place on Wednesday August 21 and we will be travelling by
the Yamba Bowlo 24 seater courtesy bus, leaving the club at
8.30am. We are being joined by some members of Yamba Seniors, which as
previously advised has now folded. The cost for the day will be $7 for seniors
entry plus lunch which will consist of soup or sandwiches tea or coffee
and slices if required at a cost of approximately $14.
We will be travelling via Lawrence stopping off at See Park in Grafton
for morning tea which will be supplied. Those people interested in joining
us could you please contact Maureen Cunningham on 6645 1453 or Annette
Callaghan on 6646 1473.
… the Independent would like to ask for your support. The community is reading our paper more than ever and embracing the content we produce, but advertising revenues across the media as a whole, are falling. Unlike other news organizations we do not charge for our publication – so, to keep our community connected and deliver the local news to your door we would like to ask for your help..... to keep the Independent bringing you all the local community news takes a lot of time, hard work and people power, But we do it because we believe our presence matters – who else tells it how it is, where it is, and what it is.
If you like our journalism, if you like the community news, if you like our sports coverage we would love it if you could help fund it, our future may depend on it.
For as little as $5, you can support the Independent – Thank you.
