Yamba Day VIEW Club

What a test of the memory was had by the small number of members who were present at the May members luncheon. Chocolates were the prizes to the lucky winners… I am yet to taste one. Well done Leslie for the many and varied questions, meant to test both young and old. This was enjoyed by all and a repeat guest appearance was requested.

We welcomed Janice (Shirley’s friend) who was lucky to receive a share of chocolates.

Sadly, there were less than half of our membership team present; members are reminded club attendance is necessary for the vitality of the club, plus it gives heart to the committee that we can continue to support our five children.

The members social luncheon was a good day, lovely to see Jean and Margaret join us and catch up.

Well wishes to Val in Maclean hospital, our thoughts are with her at this time.

The committee are home from their overseas trips, YIPPEE. With the scare of planes colliding in Alaska and the group being there at that time, it was a cause for concern. Great to have you back ladies.

The June luncheon will host Helen Smith as guest speaker; she will show us her delightful array of costume jewellery.

Members who wish to make a bracelet etc. are asked to bring along $4 towards the cost of beads.

Thanks to several members who supported the Hospital Auxiliary fashion parade; their support back to our club is always appreciated.

The next luncheon will be held at Yamba Bowling Club on June 17at 10am for a chat and the 10.30 meeting commencement.

Please phone Lyn for bookings or apologies on 6646 3164 on the Friday prior.
