As a regular visitor to Yamba for all sorts of reasons, I too have been caught up in the traffic delays over Christmas.

I am no engineer but to me putting in roundabouts will do nothing to stop congestion.

In my opinion we need foresight for the future and with only one main road in and out of Yamba and surrounds, things will only get worse.

If the new development has 135 blocks for sale that’s at least 270 extra car movements alone not counting more DA approvals; two lanes each way I suggest, but the cost factor will rule this out. When the new highway is completed Grafton will be accessible in the same time period.
