Lawrence has a great rapport with his staff, continually providing them with the latest training opportunities and ensuring they have a happy work environment which is crucial to staff morale.
The Independent recently caught up with the staff from Forty Winks in Grafton, to get a bit of an insight into what they enjoy most about their jobs, and their lives outside of work.
TYNE WINDON – Manager, Forty Winks
“I was born and bred here and currently live in Grafton with my partner,” said Tyne.
“When I’m not at work, I’m busy being a mum, looking after my kids and making sure they’re happy and healthy and enjoying life. They are involved in hockey (Sailors), soccer (South Services) and football (Rebels), so I’m always busy running around after them.
I’ve worked in retail for four years and been store manager since June last year. I love my job because it’s a locally owned and operated business, which is Australian backed.
We offer our customers a good night sleep with the right support, so they won’t be tossing and turning, so that they wake up in the morning feeling a lot happier and fresher.

BRADLEY RAY
I was born in Grafton and raised in Maclean. I lived in Lismore for about 15 years and recently returned to the valley with my husband of two years and we’ve got a house over in South Grafton, which we’ve recently renovated.
In my spare time, I love to get out in the local area, especially during summer and enjoy camping and going to the beach.
I enjoy travelling, but at the moment it’s all about setting roots back in the Clarence Valley as we are really close to our entire family.
I’ve been with Forty Winks for four months, but I already know what is right and how to assist a customer with quality support in a mattress, using our bed match service, which takes the guess work out of providing proper postural support for customers. CORRINA HOLLOWAY
Corrina grew up on the South Coast of NSW and has lived in Grafton for the last 13 years, having moved here from Perth.
“I’m part of a blended family so I have three boys who have all played junior football for the Grafton Ghosts from the under 7’s through to the under 18’s,” Corrina said.
“In my spare time I like to catch up with good friends and enjoy dining out. Good food, good wine, good company.
