“The criteria”

Ed, When the Minister of Health considered the application for an ambulance station to be located at Iluka and supported with 11500 signatures, he stated that Iluka did not meet the necessary criteria for approval. At the meeting, arranged by Chris Gulaptis to discuss the ambulance station, the meeting attended by 250 plus was once again told that Iluka did not meet the necessary criteria for approval for an ambulance station. It is obvious that the “necessary criteria” is the key to get this important service for the area, but despite numerous requests to Government, the criteria will not be released. Chris Gulaptis is to be thanked for his efforts to establish the ambulance station, but even his administration office does not have the detail of the criteria. It is important that full details as to why the application to Government for the ambulance station was turned down and not explained away by some mysterious criteria. The community is unified and determined in their efforts to get this important station established to serve the area and will not accept that this vital service should not be approved.
