Swing into action at Iluka Golf Club clinics

Mark Adey, the Iluka Golf Club’s Professional (pictured with Iluka lady golfers) instructing the body stance, swing techniques and the putting logistics with the second group of participants in the Golf Clinics held during March and April at the Iluka Golf Club.

Mark said the Clinics are a great way to introduce new people to golf or to reintroduce former players to the game they love. Clinics are a fun way to learn, and keeping them small, creates a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with interactive learning.

The clinics were divided into two groups of beginners and existing players with Mark taking them through putting, chipping and the swing. Clinic participants were able to play a few holes of golf over the next two weeks hosted by existing golfers who were available and willing to help these new players and share what they know about the game. This initiative has seen an encouraging number of new players join the Club.

Local residents who wish to sign up and who want to learn the proper way to swing a golf club in a relaxed and friendly small group will benefit again this May/June from another golf clinic led again by Mark.

Come along and join the fun that is golf.
