A cheque presentation for $10,000 has been made to the Iluka and Woombah Rural Fire Service (RFS), in appreciation for the great effort in protecting the villages of Iluka and Woombah, during the recent fires.

The $10,000 donation came from funds raised by the Rotary Club of Iluka Woombah, which were the proceeds from the “Thank the Fireries Day” which was held at the Iluka Golf Club on December 15.

The fund raising event was a joint partnership of the Iluka Golf Club and the Iluka Woombah Rotary Club, who wish to thank the community for their generous donations.

The presentation was made on Tuesday January 14 at the Woombah RFS depot.
