Postcards up for auction

Grafton Regional Gallery’s 2018 Postcard Show wraps up with a final auction on March 18.  A record number of bidders have registered this year to post their silent bids up next to their favourite artworks. These silent bids will be finalised in our final bid event on Sunday, March 18, at the gallery. The event starts with a morning tea at 10am with the auction starting at 11am. Entry is free. Gallery director, Jude McBean, said that thanks to the warm generosity of our artists, locally and nationally, there was a great array of gorgeous works donated to delight and tempt people. “So come along to the last and final thrilling day,” she said. “Auctioneer, Angus McKimm, from McKimms Real Estate, Grafton, will create the excitement and bidding frenzy amongst the passionate art lover crowd. The bidding is always intense at the final bid auction – the art lovers do themselves proud. “This is a wonderful opportunity to acquire some exquisite small postcard sized artworks and, at the same time know that you are supporting the Grafton Regional Gallery to fundraise for the 2018 Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award (JADA).
