The Community were out and about in Maclean on Saturday morning to check out the grand opening of Mitre 10 and to grab themselves a bargain.
Mitre 10 Maclean co-owner Shaun Johnson said that it
was a fantastic morning.
“We had lots and lots of locals coming through to
support us, which was really nice to see,” Shaun said.
“I think everyone had a really good time with TV’s The
Block contestants – Andy and Deb and the kids seemed to enjoy getting their
autographs and getting selfies with them.
“We had lots of face painting, fairy floss and a
jumping castle for the kids and there was a really good Q and A session with
Andy and Deb as well.
“We had a really busy couple of hours and think
everyone enjoyed themselves.
“The Gulmarrad Rural Fire Service (RFS) manned the BBQ out the front of the store, which gave the community a chance to give them a gold coin donation to thank them for the great job they’ve been doing,” he said.

If you like our journalism, if you like the community news, if you like our sports coverage we would love it if you could help fund it, our future may depend on it.
