Wednesday July 3 was a busy day for our ladies being the 7th Monthly Medal and 5th GNSW Medal. Our sponsors for the day were Liama Hunter and Maureen Killian. Maureen is still away on her travels so thanks Liama for arranging the great trophies from you both.

The winner in Div 1 with a great 70 nett was Elena Roylance. Elena played a great front 9 having only 39 hits which is fantastic golf. The runner-up with a nice 74 nett was our captain Nancy Phillips. Well done Nancy it is not always easy to play well after all the organising you have to do so good work.

In Div 2 Bev Ensbey was the winner with 77 nett and Liama Hunter was the runner-up with 79 nett. Because Liama was a sponsor of the day she very generously handed her prize to Edith Piddington who came third also with 79 nett. Elena won the gross in Div 1 with 86 and Bev won the Div 2 gross with 103.

NTPs: Div 1 – Pat Harris; Div 2 – Cathie Parker; Overall: 7th – Amanda Barwick; 11th – Tina Hogg. Tina also won the putting with 31 putts.

Club balls went to Pat Harris, Sheree Forsythe, Chrissy Picton, Helen McFarlane, Cathy Ayres, Tina Hogg, Sandra Jenkins and Marlene Roberts.

We have a busy few weeks at Maclean Golf Club with the Vets Week of Golf commencing on July 15 through to July 19 and the ladies 3 Day Northern Rivers Tournament from July 22-25. We will need lots of help from our members to complete the preparations for these events so if you can help please let the committee know. Cathie Parker and Kate Hemmy are in charge of the morning teas for the Vets Week so if you can cook a slice or cake it would be most appreciated.
