Maclean & District Bowls

Ross Murphy & Kim Frazer played in the Zone final of the Presidents Reserve Pairs at Ocean Shores and were defeated. Congratulations boys on reaching the final.

We would like to wish Alastair Preston, Doug Starr & Des Johnson all the best as they travel to Cudgen on Saturday to play in the final of the Zone Senior Triples. Also to Des Johnson who travels to Cabarita on Sunday to compete in the Zone Champion of Champions Singles.

Nominations close on Wednesday July 31 for our Club Mixed Pairs 2019. Playing dates are also on the nomination sheet on the men’s noticeboard. This will be run as a set play format with sectional play and knockout system therefore dependant on nominations as to number of sections. However the top eight will compete in knockout play.

Nominations are open for our Open Singles 2019. Open to men and ladies of Maclean Bowling Club playing sectional games as per Rookies format 17 shots UP. Check the noticeboard for all COP and dates of play.

Pennants

Our Grade 4 team travelled to Port Macquarie for the State Pennant finals on the weekend. We weren’t able to get a win in our three section matches but did compete well. Congratulations to you all for the season, which can only be described as a success for our little club. I will arrange a Pennant appreciation day soon.
