We had friends from Coffs Harbour about 2 weeks ago; they had come up to shop because wives loved Yamba shops. They stayed overnight (4 couples).

The husbands waited while the women shopped and all complained about how hot it was and the seating outside was in the sun. More shade is needed along the shopping area.

Consequently they went home early Sunday morning; originally they were to do more shopping on Sunday, because they could not stand the heat along Coldstream St.

I don’t know the solution but this is not the first time visitors have complained about the sun.

If the retailers want customers to spend time, there should be shaded areas for husbands and children.
