International speaker to conduct healing services

Lynne Mowbray |

The Lower Clarence Anglican Church is inviting the community to attend their upcoming special healing services.

The services will be held at St James Anglican Church, Wharf Street Maclean at 6.30pm Saturday and Sunday September 7-8.

Pastor Mark Hemans from Encounter Ministries will be taking both of the healing services.

In a statement outlining his life story, Mark said that while growing up he was greatly influenced by the faith and healing teaching of Jim Glennon at the healing services at St Andrew’s Cathedral, in Sydney.

“I received Biblical training at Wheaton College USA (B.A. in Biblical Studies), Ridley College, Melbourne (B.Th & Dip. Min.) and training in cross-cultural ministry at the Church Missionary Society, Melbourne.

I served as a pastor in a charismatic Anglican Church in Melbourne (1989-92), then worked with FGBMFI in Paraguay, South America (1993-98), and pastored River of Life Church, Prestons (1999-2011).”

Around 2004 Mark started Encounter Ministries (which helps children in poverty in Columbia – through Compassion International).

Over the years, Mark has written eight books and has spoken at hundreds of meetings around the world.

The Lower Clarence Anglican Church encourages the community to come along to Marks healing services.
