March 27, 2020

As this Covid-19 crisis impacts our community things are changing and that change also applies to the Grafton Chamber of Commerce. Like many businesses the GCC is changing the way they operate but stressed that they are STILL HERE with a passion and commitment to support our local business community in the days ahead.

Although the Chamber unfortunately has had to suspend monthly breakfasts and Business After Hours events and the office is currently closed they stressed that they are definitely still open as a Business Chamber and are working to support local businesses.

As a gesture of commitment to their members they are extending financial membership to all current members past the July renewal date until the end of the year. This effectively will give all members 6 months free membership. This will be reviewed at the end of the year with the possibility that it may be extended for a full year.

Their focus over the coming months is to be a conduit of information to their members and the broader business community in these times of such dire business prospects.

Their website and Facebook page will be regularly updated with information which could be of assistance for businesses during this time. Members will additionally also receive weekly emailed information. There will also be a focus on stories of businesses thinking innovatively or working together during this time.

Chamber President, Carol Pachos: ‘Believes that it will be innovation in business that will be an important factor for business survival in the coming months. As a Chamber I am confident that we will emerge from this crisis with renewed ideas and a commitment to support our local business community in the recovery process.’
