Girls Go Racing this weekend and the public is invited to come and watch

Maclean Dirt Bike Club will come back to life again this weekend with a brand new track design and loads of racing. The reopening of the circuit will be officiated on Saturday morning between races at a time to be advised.

If you follow the club on Facebook they will post the details as soon as it has been confirmed. It has been a huge effort from members, prospective members, volunteers and local businesses to get the new circuit ready in time for the club to host the 1st Round of the Go Girls Racing Australia Championship Series, which will run from Friday 12 through to Tuesday 16.

Although the series emphasis is on female riders, there are classes for everyone to enter, all you need is a Motorcycling Australia licence, a bike and approved riding gear and you can come ride at any of the club events. Spectators are always welcome at the club events, so if you’re looking for something to do this weekend, why not call in at Maclean Motorcycle Park in Townsend and watch some of the top female riders in the country compete.

There will be signs out to direct those who do not know how to find the facility.

The club intends to host some recreation days and race days across the year and welcome new members. If you would like to find out more, just follow the club on Facebook or come up and introduce yourself at one of our events and we’ll let you know how to get started.
