For some areas around the Clarence Valley which have already been impacted by the early start to our fire season, the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) ‘Get Ready Weekend’ last weekend, was a timely reminder to stay vigilant and to be prepared. Local fire brigade stations around NSW held their open day on Saturday, to help draw awareness and inform the community on how to best prepare their homes for bush fires.
