Electronic rates notifications

Some Clarence Valley ratepayers who have signed up to get their rates notices electronically might be receiving emails advising them to “Be careful with this message” and “Clarence Valley has never sent messages using this email address”.

Clarence Valley Council general manager, Ashley Lindsay, said it was not yet clear why some people who have signed up for e-notices were getting this message for the first time, but in the cases that had been brought to council’s attention the email was legitimate.

“The message appears to be attached to reminder notices,” he said.

“We encourage people who have signed up to e-notices to please check their ‘junk’ or ‘other’ folder in their email account and mark the sender, noreply@formsport.com.au as safe to receive further notices to their inbox.”

Further information on electronic rates notices and water accounts and a direct link to the eNotice portal is available at www.clarence.nsw.gov.au/cp_themes/metro/page.asp?p=DOC-COH-10-03-75.
