The 2019 Northern Rivers Zone Cross Country was held at Lismore Race Course on Friday May 17.
The 25 member Maclean HS team started the day with a small shower but as we walked the course the skies soon cleared for perfect running conditions and so started an epic performance by all.
This year has been one of our most successful years with 18 of the 25 students making it to the North Coast Carnival in a few weeks’ time.
Our student performances included:
1st places: 14 years girls – Kalani Ives; 14 years boys – Kele Jeffrey; 15 years boys – Kayne Wells; 15 years girls – Carissa Miltiadou.
2nd places: 17 year boys – Josh Morris; 13 years girls – Molly Bennett.
3rd place: 13 years girls – Maddi Norris.
And in the top 10 to also represent at the next carnival are Isabelle Addison, Samuel Jackson, Jazmyn Adey, Zane Lowe, Jackson Moss, Breanna Fischer, Jacqui Samms, Maddi Hollis, Paris Brailsford.
Awesome work everyone who participated, it was a pleasure to watch you strive to do your best.
