Companions of Caroona Auxiliary

It is with a heavy heart that I write this, to announce that the Companions of Caroona Auxiliary has ceased operation due to the lack of members taking on vital positions.

I started the Auxiliary nine years ago and in that time, we have raised some valuable funds and purchased many items for the residents’ TLC during this time. We have had lots of fun and social outings while working to raise these funds with raffles and lamington drives etc. We have made cards for Christmas, Mother Day and Fathers Day each year, so that each resident received a special card from the Auxiliary. Some of us will continue to do this, as I think this is a lovely gesture and we enjoy the activity.

The Auxiliary recently helped purchase a Brain Trainer and with the help of the facility, our remaining funds will go towards purchasing another one for residents’ use.

I would like to thank all those who have held positions on committee over the years and to all members for their ongoing contribution in helping give the residents of Caroona a little TLC.
