Flower of the month

Clarence River U3A

At Joy of Gardening last Tuesday week we hosted 25 members of Woodburn Garden Club during their Yamba visit; first stop was for morning tea at Adrienne’s Palmer’s Island garden, then on to Shirley’s where masses of cuttings were snapped up. Following lunch at the golf club they stopped by Yamba Community Garden in Park Avenue.

February’s meeting is 8.30am next Friday 28 at Treelands Drive Community Centre.

Flower of the month is a pentas or other soft shrub, pot plant is a fern and floral art, arrangement depicting a song. Bring along, any other flower, items to be identified and something for trading and raffle tables. There will be a short talk on managing worm farms and video of Renmark gardens. Then maybe over to Woombah to see a  bromeliad garden after meeting.

There is a bus trip to Bellingen Autumn Plant Fair on Saturday March 14; cost is $25 and all are all welcome including new members and visitors… three hours of garden fun for $2.

Just turn up or ring Ros 6646 0235.
