his guest band reprise their January performance at Mal’s Blues Bar this Sunday afternoon. Last month’s show is back by popular demand, says Eastick. Guest players include Maclean Hammond organ player Tony Rendell and Central Coast singer John Makey, who has been a regular performer with Eastick since 1997 and contributed vocals to Eastick’s recordings. Ex-Sydney players, Christos Nicolaou on bass and Pete Brentnall on drums, now ensconced on the northcoast, complete the lineup. Eastick says there will be special guests on the open mic, too. The various band combinations will play songs from Eastick’s albums, plus crowd favourites from the likes of Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, J.J. Cake and Robert Cray, with some Hammond organ-driven Deep Purple songs thrown in for good measure. This all happens at Mal’s Blues Bar at the Yamba Golf and Country Club this Sunday February 26, from 4:30pm to 7:30pm.
